This hub consolidates the electrical power discipline of mission-critical infrastructure engineering. It spans the full power chain from utility point-of-delivery (POD) through medium-voltage switchgear, generator sets, automatic transfer switches (ATS), uninterruptible power supply (UPS) modules, and final-mile PDU distribution to IT rack receptacles.
Key design decisions addressed include: redundancy topology selection (concurrent-maintainability vs fault-tolerance tiers), UPS runtime and battery sizing, generator fuel consumption and autonomy, and PDU branch-circuit utilisation. The scope aligns with Uptime Tier classification requirements and TIA-942 rated-4 concurrently-maintainable infrastructure.
